Seascape Reflection
This photo was taken in Virginia Beach in the summer of 2012. This photo was taken five minutes prior to a pretty serious thunder and lightning storm. As you can see the beach is entirely cleared of people except one ship that was on its way back from sea and is actually moving at an alarming rate, however my camera caught the boat right before it went behind the rocks. When I took the shot I was standing on my hotel balcony on the 5th floor. There is foreground, middleground and background in the shot as the sand is the foreground, the sea is the middleground and the sky is the background. The picture is horizontal and the photo was taken from above. Line is incorporated into the photo as there are leading lines that are parallel from the beach and the sky. There is a lot of depth to the photo and the shutter speed was on a fast shutter speed as it captured the speeding boat as if it were still in the water. The photograph communicates the elegance of Virginia Beach and makes the viewer wish they were laying on a beach in Virginia.
