Emily Ulrich was my model for the studio portrait assignment. I didn't have her use any props in this photo, instead the main focus of the photo is the shadow of her body and face in the background. There was one light set up and it was facing toward her a little bit left of the camera. The light was also a a little lower than her, but it was acing upward toward her face. I chose this photo because of the way the shadow came out in the background. I couldn't believe how detailed the shadow was. From the way she is positioned it looks as if her mouth isn't open, but because of the way the light is positioned the shadow shows that it actually was. Also, there is an outline of the shadow as if the camera wasn't focused on the shadow well. Although it was focused I think that the outline of the shadow is one of the few details that really makes the photograph.
